Bharat Bandh: Schools, colleges to be closed on Monday in Uttar Kannada

Karwar: In view of the Bharat Bandh called by the Congress and allies, various political parties and organizations extended their support to the bandh on Monday.

Congress, JDS, CPI, various pro-Kannada organizations, Auto owners association, Lorry owners association and others have extended their support to the bandh.

In view of the bandh, Deputy Commissioner SS Nakul declared holiday for all Schools and Colleges across the district as part of law and order situation in the district on Monday.

The police department has taken tight police security across the district. Except hospitals and medical shops, shops and business houses would remain closed from 6 AM to 6 PM. As the associations of Auto owners, Lorry owners and Bus owners have extended their support to the bandh, there will not be any private bus service and other vehicles. KSRTC busses will be plying as usual tomorrow.

Government offices shall operate as usual tomorrow.
