Beltangadhy: Man acquires help from one of his sons to kill another

Beltangadhy: A 28-year-old youth was allegedly stabbed to death by his own father and brother at Matla Kasaba village here following a clash which erupted during dinner on 11th February, Sunday night.

The deceased has been identified as Naveen (28yrs) s/o Raghavendra, a native of Hassan. Naveen had a wife and two kids. He worked in a farm to feed his family.

According to sources, Naveen had a big quarrel with his father and brother Manjunath during the New Year’s Eve this year and it had ended in him manhandling his father. Naveen’s father and brother were both astrologers.

It was learnt that a similar clash erupted between the trio Sunday evening during dinner and it resulted in Manjunath and Raghavendra allegedly stabbing Naveen in the abdomen and thighs.

Naveen died on the spot as he suffered grievous injuries. His attackers escaped from the spot in their Xylo car but were later nabbed by the Beltangadhy police based on complaint filed by Naveen’s wife.

A case under sections 302 and 34 of the IPC stands registered at Beltangady police station.
