2 burglars held in Ankola

Ankola: Police have arrested the accused involved in the burglary of the donation box of a temple recently.

Police arrested Santosh Manjunath Basti and Bahubali Subhash Basti of Hirehonnalli in Kalghatagi taluk on charges of stealing the donation box from Nagadevatha Temple at Kanchinbagilu near NH-66. The accused used to work as the driver and cleaner of milk carrying van.

The donation box of the temple used to go missing 
often and so, temple administrative officer Ajit Ganapathi Nayak had lodged a complaint with the police in this 
regard.

PSI Shridhar and his team took up the investigation. They reviewed the CCTV camera fitted in the temple and based on that arrested the accused.
