Udupi District Crime Branch seize 1.5kg Ganja, 1 arrested

Udupi: The district Crime Branch Police here on 9th February, Friday have arrested an accused for selling ganja and confiscated 1.5kg ganja from his possession.

The accused has been identified as Abdul Rahman Safwan (29yrs), a resident of Uchila.

Safwan was caught red handed by the police while trying to sell ganja to the students of MIT Manipal College. The seized ganja is estimated to be worth Rs. 22,500.

Acting upon credible information, a team consisting PSI Gachendra and other officials was led by SHO Sitaram and the arrest was made.

A case stands registered at Manipal police station.
